Genealogy Places

Poland - Eliasz/Leszczynski most direct ancestors came from Biechów or Wojcza or Piersiec(Piestrzec)[all Gminy: Stopnica, Parish: Biechow, Guberny: Kielce] or Pacanów. Other cities in Poland mentioned Zabiec, Zborowek, Stopnica, Ksiaznice, Krakow. Gawlikowski seem to come from Opatowiec and/or Opatow. Jozef Eliasz came from his wife Valeria in Żabiec in 1910. Valeria Leszczyńska owned a mill in Łodz (which was illicitly given to Eliasz's by Mary Eliasz Gronek-- before being ultimately stolen by the communists).

New York, USA- Most Eliasz and Leszczynski seem to have come through Ellis Island. This is by no means complete though, as Valeria and Alice (Waleria and Alexandra) Elias[sic] came through Philadelphia, PA. In any case, they all settled in Depew, NY. Those Eliasz or Leszczynski that settled in Buffalo/Niagra/Syracuse areas seems to more distant relatives who are as yet unlinked to the family tree (though I wish I could meet a genealogically minded family member from that group and swap family histories). Members of St. Augustine Church on Penora St. in Depew, NY.
Depew area Streets: Penora and Neoga Street seems to have played a huge part. Also Olmstead Ave, Broadway, Como, Lawnside, Laverack, Ellicott, etc.

Toledo, OH, USA -Some Eliasz, Mylek, and Sobieszczanski's move on to Toledo,Ohio. Sobieszczanskis become Sobbs. Members of St. Anthony's Church on Nebraska Ave.
Toledo Streets: Campbell, Buckingham, Avondale Ave.

Detroit/Hamtramck, MI, USA -Some Eliasz, Gronek, Gawlikowski's move on to Detroit area.
Detroit Streets: Dean St., Craig St., Harper Ave, McClellan, Burger Ave, Dublin Ave.[pre 1936]
Detroit Suburbs Streets: Fairchild Road, North Town Line Road,[these are 1930]; many ELIASZ's move on to St. Clair Shores, MI (post 1945)
